Texas basketball is just over two weeks away from their season opener, however, lets check on the Texas Exes in the NBA ahead of the 2019/20 season.

Over the past few years the NBA calendar has seemed to extend into a 12 month cycle, though, the start of the regular season always brings some extra juice. The NBA season opens Tuesday night with a double-header featuring the Pelicans traveling to Toronto to take on the defending champs as well as the Los Angeles stand off featuring the new look Lakers and Clippers. There’s a  handful of prominent alumni out of the Texas basketball program that are in the NBA this year.

The Texas Longhorns men’s basketball team still has a two week wait until they begin their regular season, but you can follow all of your favorite former Horns across the NBA. Though Texas has not seen a ton of recent success in the Frank Erwin Center, they have consistently been one of the higher producers of NBA talent in all of the country.

Going into the 2019/20 NBA regular season Texas basketball has 11 former players on NBA rosters, currently good for seventh most by a university. Younger guys like Jaxson Hayes and Mo Bamba are still looking to make their initial mark on this league whereas the PJ Tucker’s and DJ Augustin’s of the world are seasoned vets.

Let’s take a look at what these Longhorns have in store for the 2019/20 NBA season.
