As a junior, Brooke McCarty won Big 12 Player of the Year. But, she was held in check when Texas needed her in the loss to Stanford.

McCarty did not attempt a three-pointer until the last minute of the game against the Cardinal, who shadowed and harassed her throughout the game.

For Texas to take the next step, McCarty needs to raise her game to National Player of the Year level as a senior. And, she needs to elevate her teammates’ games.

McCarty is so good running the Longhorns’ offense. She just has to find the next level as a basketball player over the summer to guide the Horns to an even better season and deeper NCAA Tournament run.
