We can start with a very talented out-of-state prospect that Texas basketball recruiting has targeted for the past few months and should continue to pursue heavily. This four-star North Carolina native small forward Patrick Williams would be a nice complement alongside Williams on the wing for the Horns.

Williams is currently a favorite to land with a big in-state program in the NC State Wolfpack, but that is far from sealed yet. He ranks as a top 40 high school prospect in the nation and the ninth best at his position. Williams should be assumed to land with a program in the same state as to where he plays his high school basketball.

However, Texas is one of the favorites to land his commitment outside of the Carolinas with other programs like the Arizona Wildcats, Florida State Seminoles, and Louisville Cardinals. NC State and the Clemson Tigers are two favorites to land him among the schools pursuing him in the Carolinas.

He fits the profile of your pretty usual athletic and lethal wing that can play above the rim. Williams should become a highly-touted NBA prospect after a few years in college. His athletic and high-paced style of play fits pretty clearly into what Smart likes to run, so he would be a great fit with the Horns moving forward.

Chance he commits to Texas: 15%
