We’ve discussed a ton about this situation regarding a very highly touted five-star prospect that hails from very close to the Forty Acres in Austin, TX. He’s also been a standout at any camp he’s attended within the past six months as one of the best scoring big men that there is in this 2019 recruiting cycle.

Five-star center/power forward Will Baker will be an immediate impact player wherever he goes. However, it would be the perfect story for him to land with the Horns when he makes his final decision. Texas has a much better chance at landing him than any other Big 12 program looks to have at this point.

Baker is one of the few five-star prospects that Texas basketball recruiting has left to pursue since the top rated center in the nation in James Wiseman is pretty much split between the hometown Memphis Tigers and new head coach Penny Hardaway and the blue blood Kentucky Wildcats and well-known head coach John Calipari.

The North Carolina Tar Heels, UCLA Bruins, and the Horns have the best shot to land the commitment of Baker now. 247Sports Crystal Ball Predictions actually gives Texas the best chance ot land his commitment as of Sep. 16. He would be about the best the Horns could do in terms of fit now.

Chance he commits to Texas: 75%
