5. Lil’Jordan Humphrey is a known star

At this point, we know what we’ll get out of both sides of the ball on a regular basis from Texas football. By Week 10, the identity of a team is pretty well-known and only a massive shift in the play on the field that comes unexpectedly would do anything to change that. The wide receivers for the Horns are a good example of a known strength.

Even for a team as unpredictable as Texas, we should still know what it brings to the table.A strength that emerged this season that was slightly anticipated was the potency of this receiving corps. It looks as if the Horns finally figured out how to properly get speedy junior wide receiver Devin Duvernay involved in the game. He’s the right piece to fit to round out the trio of the standout junior wide receivers that the Horns boast.

Even with the breakout game from Duvernay, he was not the best receiver on the field for the Horns in Week 10. And that title usually belongs to Collin Johnson and/or Lil’Jordan Humphrey. Once again, the title went to one of those two that are so great for this Texas offense in 2018. Humphrey was the best receiver for Texas on the field in this game with more than 140 yards and one touchdown.

Johnson and Humphrey have actually done so well this year that it might cause them to leave the Forty Acres one year early. For Humphrey, leaving one year early would’ve come to a surprise to anyone you told that to during the 2018 off-season. For Johnson, he was almost expected to do so but there was still a good chance that he returned.
