There’s a direct correlation between two offerees for the 2021 recruiting cycle from Texas football and Oklahoma State’s star wide receiver.

Among the more intriguing set of recent offers sent out for the 2021 Texas football recruiting class involved twin wide receivers from the Dallas-Fort Worth area in the state of Texas, from powerhouse Allen High School. Those twin wideouts from Allen are the 6-foot-1 and 175 pound standouts Blaine Green and Bryson Green.

However, what’s remarkable about these twins is the striking resemblance they bear with one of the most prominent wide receivers in the nation and his brother. The Oklahoma State Cowboys have a Biletnikoff Award finalist from the 2018 campaign, sophomore wide receiver Tylan Wallace, that could be a mold for the Green twins from Allen.

Tylan, and his brother Tracin Wallace, together form the future of the Oklahoma State passing game. Both Tylan and Tracin were highly regarded four-star recruits through most of the 2017 cycle. That could be what the Green twins are ranked as by 247Sports and Rivals when those are released for the full set of 2021 prospects.

For the 2021 Texas football recruiting class, the Green twins from Allen could emerge as two of the more important targets to add for the offensive side of the ball. The Green twins bring a ton of speed to the table and the underrated ability to high-point jump balls. To continue this building passing game for Texas football behind offensive coordinator Tim Beck and rising junior quarterback Sam Ehlinger, the recruiting trail has to provide for continuity.

However, some of the more striking similarities between the Green twins and Wallace brothers at this moment are the underrated speed and leaping ability for the size of the four wideouts. The frame for the four wideouts is similar in nature too, when each was coming out of high school at least. Tylan stood at 6-foot-0 and 180 pounds coming out of South Hills High School in Texas.

If Texas football could get the same type of production out of the Green twins (assuming they commit) that Oklahoma State is getting from the Wallace brothers, this recruitment would be well worth it. Tylan posted more than 1,400 receiving yards and 12 touchdowns in a true breakout sophomore campaign for the Pokes.

The Green twins would fit the role for the offense ran under head Texas football coach Tom Herman similar to what rising senior wide receiver Devin Duvernay gives. The Green twins wouldn’t be the tallest wide receivers on the Forty Acres, but they could be some of the quickest and most reliable. That reminds Big 12 football fans of what Tylan showed in 2018.

On Jan. 31, Blaine and Bryson received their offers from Texas football. The twins have 10 offers going each way as they will likely be a package deal come their commitment decision day. Some of the highlights of the Green twin’s offer sheets include the Auburn Tigers, Nebraska Cornhuskers, Texas Longhorns, and Ole Miss Rebels.

A solid stretch run for Texas football recruiting at wide receiver could continue the lineage with the Green twins. They should be mid-level four-star prospects when the ratings start to come through for the bigger 2021 high school recruits. Texas football would welcome that big-time addition.
