Three of the five commits in the 2020 Texas football recruiting class were present at the Dallas Opening Regional in Frisco on March 3.
With the 2020 recruiting cycle in full swing at this point of the 2019 off-season, there is a ton of focus falling on some of the top events for the coming months. For the weekend of March 3, a ton of that focus fell on the Dallas Opening Regional Combine and Elite 11. The Dallas Opening Regional Combine was held at Colleyville Heritage High School in the DFW-Metroplex on March 2.
Once the combine was all said and done, the 2020 Texas football recruiting class could turn most of its energy on the Elite 11. The Elite 11 was the focal point of the Nike Opening for the portion of the recruiting events held in Dallas, TX. There were three commits for the 2020 Texas football recruiting class in the Dallas Opening too.
There were also a host of targets for the 2020 and 2021 Texas football recruiting classes taking part in the Dallas Regional too. Among those were three-star 2020 cornerbacks Jalen Kimber and Ryan Watts, four-star linebacker Brennon Scott, and four-star running back Seth McGowan.
Another notable name in this Dallas Regional was the three-star West Mesquite High School running back Ty Jordan who wound up winning the MVP at this event at his position. Jordan showed out in a big way all during this regional.
