Of late, the rising three-star in-state running back target Ty Jordan is getting more and more attention on the recruiting trail. Within the past month, 247Sports even bumped up its recruiting ranking for Jordan to a four-star. After his performance at the Dallas Opening Regional at the beginning of March, Jordan’s stock rose quite a bit.

Jordan was able to outperform the likes of five-star Oklahoma Sooners running back commit Jase McClellan in the Dallas Opening Regional to take home the MVP award for the event at his position. In upcoming events like the Rivals Camp Series in Dallas, on March 23, Jordan can show out and continue to show off his value.

This is a bond that head Texas football coach Tom Herman needs to work to keep building. Jordan’s stock will keep rising over the course of the off-season as people start to realize his true talent and versatility. Jordan ranks as the nation’s No. 355 2020 high school prospect and the seventh best all-purpose running back.

Even though he stands at just 5-foot-7, he does weigh in at 181 pounds and run with a ton of force. Jordan is a solid receiver out of the backfield and can make most anyone miss in the open field. There is a lot to like about Jordan, and the Horns need to make him a prime focus as the off-season moves along.
