After a huge performance in the Dallas Opening Regional Combine, the stock of four-star Mansfield, TX, and Mansfield Timberview High School cornerback Jalen Kimber shot through the roof. He was named as the fastest prospect that was competing at the Dallas Opening Combine last month.

When both 247Sports and Rivals improved his recruiting ranking among the 2020 cornerbacks after his Dallas Opening performance, Kimber shot up and gained a ton of attention from the nation’s top blue blood programs. Ultimately, Kimber would wind up committing to the Georgia Bulldogs to play for head coach Kirby Smart on April 17.

Losing both Snow and Kimber in the same day also stung for the Longhorns and Herman. But, defensive coordinator Todd Orlando should be able to do without Kimber and Snow. The loss of Kimber is more significant since the Longhorns and Texas A&M Aggies appeared to be front runners until Georgia made a huge run in the past few weeks.

Kimber also has an official visit planned to the University of Georgia on April 19. This is a big weekend for the Dawgs secondary to add a top cornerback out of the state of Texas. Kimber now ranks as the nation’s No. 239 2020 high school prospect and the No. 16 cornerback. He’s a very speedy corner that fit well with the high-pressure that comes with playing in the Longhorns secondary.
