3. Status of five-star prospects

Facing reality for the 2020 Texas football recruiting class involves pearing into what happens with a trio of highly touted five-star prospects.

The first and most important of this trio is the nation’s fourth best running back in a loaded class at the position with Tucson, AZ, native Bijan Robinson. The 247Sports Crystal Ball Predictions give Robinson a big edge to land with the Longhorns now after his most recent visit that came during Texas Heat Wave.

Possibly the most intriguing of the five-star targets for the 2020 recruiting class for the Longhorns is Saguaro High School cornerback Kelee Ringo. After running an electric time at the Rivals Camp Series (4.35-seconds), Ringo is rounding out to be the complete package. The 247Sports Crystal Ball Predictions give Texas a tie with the Georgia Bulldogs at the top to land Ringo.

The final bit of the five-star prospects that are important for the Longhorns is Calabasas wide receiver Johnny Wilson. At the Opening Finals, the 6-foot-6 frame of Wilson will be put to the test. Texas is battling PAC-12 schools to win over Wilson’s interests by now.
