The only active player on this list among the former offerees of a past Texas football recruiting class is the Arizona State Sun Devils rising junior running back Eno Benjamin. Once in a while, lower tier Power Five programs like Arizona State find a gem. Arizona State surely did with Benjamin in their 2017 recruiting class.

There are a handful of underrated former three and four-star recruits that the Longhorns offered since 2010. Benjamin fits the bill there since the Longhorns had trouble recruiting depth at running back in the past three years. As a former four-star recruit, Benjamin seemingly made his final commitment decision between Texas and Arizona State.

The final set of 247Sports Crystal Ball Predictions gave Arizona State the edge over Texas as the two programs set to potentially land Benjamin’s commitment and signed National Letter of Intent. He’s a native of Wylie, TX, and a product of Wylie East High School and ranked as the No. 6 running back in the nation in 2017.

Benjamin is coming off a sophomore campaign with Arizona State where posted an insane nearly 2,000 total yards from scrimmage and 18 touchdowns. Former NFL head coach Herm Edwards didn’t have a great offense for Arizona State last season, but he surely has a premier weapon at running back with Benjamin.
