3. Newfound and rejuvenated running back depth incoming

Previous Texas football recruiting classes didn’t have near as much success in terms of depth or talent as 2020 did thus far. Texas has Robinson and three-star Mansfield Timberview athlete/running back Jaden Hullaby committed now in the 2020 class.

What else could this mean for the 2020 and 2021 recruiting classes? We don’t know the defined answer to that question yet, but there will surely be a lot of pressure taken of the shoulders of Keaontay Ingram and Jordan Whittington.

Texas had two talented running backs sign in the past two full recruiting cycles. But former four-star Buford running back Derrian Brown had a huge health scare this offseason and Ingram can only do so much.

I’ve mentioned before about the potential thunder and lightning duo that the Longhorns have in store between the 6-foot-2 and 205 pound towering Hullaby and the elusive and agile 6-foot Robinson.

Texas has two solid running back additions, and more versatile pieces could be on the way with targets like four-star all-purpose running back EJ Smith and three-star West Mesquite athlete Ty Jordan.
