Texas football could have a gem find on its hands with the strong receiving target that is Arizona native tight end Brayden Liebrock.

The former four-star tight end recruit started a pipeline through the state of Arizona that shouldn’t end anytime soon for the Longhorns. He also brings a skill set to the table that the Longhorns don’t have at tight end right now.

The thoughts of what Herman and offensive coordinator Tim Beck could do out of the slot and off the line with Liebrock is mind-boggling. Liebrock is a capable receiving threat with sure hands, good speed, and a physical nature that could help him separate and pick up more yards after the catch.

If Herman is ready to give work to both redshirt sophomore tight end Cade Brewer and Liebrock this fall, then this could be a very potent position for the Texas offense well into the future. Brewer showed off his hands during the first fall camp scrimmage, with this catch that made the SportsCenter Top 10.
