5. Sam Ehlinger vs. Joe Burrow should be amazing

The way that LSU looked against the Georgia Southern Eagles inspires confidence in all college football fans that the Week 2 showdown with Texas football will live up to every bit of the hype. ESPN’s College GameDay will be back on the Forty Acres for the first time in a decade for that matchup between the Longhorns and LSU.

In the Week 1 win over Louisiana Tech, junior Longhorns quarterback Sam Ehlinger put on a show with more than 300 total yards from scrimmage and four passing touchdowns with no picks. Ehlinger was big both with his arm and legs against a struggling Bulldogs defense.

Meanwhile, senior LSU quarterback Joe Burrow literally one-upped Ehlinger in his 55-3 dismantling of Georgia Southern. He registered a completion percentage well over 75 percent with five passing touchdowns and no picks. The passing games for LSU and Texas should have plenty of confidence heading into Week 2 as they both got rolling in their respective season openers.

Burrow and Ehlinger will highlight the single biggest matchup in Week 2 around the country. The No. 12 ranked Texas A&M Aggies facing the top ranked Clemson Tigers next Saturday afternoon will make for a very entertaining lineup of games. Texas and LSU will be fighting for further positioning in the College Football Playoff.
