Texas Football: 5 biggest 2020 NFL Draft prospects to watch in Alamo Bowl
3. Bradlee Anae, Utah
Position: Defensive End
Year: Senior
The best defensive end that is playing in the Alamo Bowl this year is Utah senior standout Bradlee Anae. As one of three seniors that the Utes will be sporting along the defensive line, Anae is going to give this Texas pass blocking a real test. Draft Blaster ranks Anae as the No. 12 defensive end in this very strong class at this position.
On the season so far, Anae has a team-leading 12.5 sacks to go along with 13.5 tackles for loss, and 35 total tackles. The 6-foot-3 and 265 pound Anae did have a handful of up and down performances against the more talented teams that Utah faced over the last two seasons. This is a good opportunity to prove himself to NFL scouts on the national stage.
2. Zack Moss, Utah
Position: Running Back
Year: Senior
The most problematic player that the Longhorns will have to deal with from the Utes on the offensive side of the ball in the Alamo Bowl will be senior star running back Zack Moss. The 5-foot-10 and 222 pound stud is a dynamic big-play threat that can break a game open almost at any moment.
During the regular season, Moss had an All-American caliber senior campaign. He racked up more than 1,700 total yards from scrimmage and 17 touchdowns. Moss also averaged more than six yards per carry.
The difficulty for Moss will be gaining ground in this draft class at a position that’s not valued as much as it used to be in the NFL. He is a versatile running back that can make an impact as a runner, receiver, and blocker.
