Wide Receiver. Theo Howard. player. 815. Scouting Report. Senior. 4. Pick Analysis

The only skill position player on this list that is not a quarterback that had a transfer decision to make that could definitely impact the Texas football program, along with the rest of the Big 12, is the former UCLA Bruins wide receiver Theo Howard.

The rising senior Howard was a solid skill position weapon for head coach Chip Kelly and the Bruins for at least one year. Kelly just never found consistent footing for an entire regular season since he joined the UCLA program. UCLA takes too long to heat up down the stretch, and that level of impatience could’ve cost them the retention of Howard.

But didn’t play in a single game during the 2019 college football season. His last set of production came during his junior campaign. That’s where he registered a career-best 677 receiving yards and four touchdowns. And he’ll join that electrifying offense that is usually record breaking with the rival Oklahoma Sooners.

Over the course of his three year career at UCLA, Howard racked up 119 catches for 1,359 yards and nine touchdowns. He’s an explosive athlete that can make would-be tacklers miss in the open field with ease. The 6-foot and 185 pound wide receiver could be a very good playmaker in that offense lead by head coach Lincoln Riley up north of the Red River.
