Other notable names

The four former players from the Texas football program aren’t the only names worth watching in the NFL for any Longhorns fans. The XFL is going to feature a number of players, especially quarterbacks, that most big time college football fans will recognize. Even NFL fans will recognize a lot of the names competing in the XFL this season with the eight franchises in the league.

Here’s a deeper look into those names that are the most notable in the XFL for 2020.

Landry Jones (Quarterback), Dallas Renegades

The star quarterback-head coaching duo in the XFL this season is going to be the former head coach of the Oklahoma Sooners Bob Stoops and former Sooner quarterback Landry Jones with the Dallas Renegades. Jones played with the Pittsburgh Steelers for most of his NFL career, and he comes into the XFL with about as much star power as possible for this league.

Christine Michael (Running Back), St. Louis Battlehawks

A former running back of the Seattle Seahawks, Christine Michael, is going to be one of the most notable players at his position in the XFL. The level of NFL experience he brings to the table is unmatched by about any other running back in this league. In 2016 with the Seahawks, he rushed for more than 550 yards and seven touchdowns.

Cardale Jones (Quarterback), DC Defenders

The former Ohio State Buckeyes national title winning quarterback Cardale Jones is going to be one of the more sizable dual-threat signal callers in the XFL. He played in the NFL for more than three years, mostly with the Buffalo Bills, before taking his talents to the XFL with the DC Defenders for the 2020 inaugural season.
