3. Patrick Vahe (Offensive Guard), Los Angeles Wildcats

The 6-foot-4 and 320 pound former Texas football offensive guard Patrick Vahe was not to recently still playing in college on the Forty Acres. Vahe was a standout guard for the Longhorns offensive line for his final two years in Austin.

But a good senior season where Texas had its best offensive line in years didn’t land Vahe in the actual seven rounds of the 2019 NFL Draft. Instead, he signed with the Baltimore Ravens as an undrafted free agent, but he was released just a few months later. Vahe didn’t sign another NFL contract heading into the 2019 regular season.

The chances for Vahe to sign another NFL contract right away heading into the 2020 offseason faded when he was selected in the open phase by the LA XFL team in their open phase. Vahe also was not selected during the positional phase of the XFL Draft. But he was picked up by the Wildcats in essentially what was their free agency phase.

Vahe will be trying to compete for a starting spot with the Wildcats along the offensive line. He could still have a bright future ahead in professional football since he’s just 23-years-old. Vahe will be blocking for potential starters at quarterback that could either be former Baylor Bears graduate transfer Jalan McClendon or long time NFL journeyman Josh Johnson.
