The only target of the 2020 Texas football recruiting class on this list that was once a commit to Herman and the Longhorns is four-star Manor 6-foot-4 and 250 pound strong-side defensive end Princely Umanmielen. He decommitted roughly two months after originally giving his pledge to the Longhorns, which both came in the midst of fall camp and the 2019 regular season.

The 247Sports Crystal Ball Predictions and Rival FutureCast lists the Big 12 foe Baylor Bears as the favorites to land Umanmielen over the Longhorns and co.  But most of the 247Sports Crystal Ball expert Predictions that are in as of Jan. 29 has Umanmielen listed as undecided. Just the majority that actually picked a school had him landing at Baylor.

Umanmielen ranks as the nation’s No. 241 2020 high school prospect and the No. 9 strong-side defensive end. He could be a big boost to a Longhorns 2020 recruiting class that is largely devoid of talent along the front seven outside of four-star Highland Park outside linebacker/edge rusher Prince Dorbah and four-star Cy Ridge defensive tackle Vernon Broughton.

The defensive line is going to be a key theme of National Signing Day for the Longhorns. Land Umanmielen and one more four-star DL prospect on this list, and Texas will be in very good position to haul in yet another top 10 ranked recruiting class in the nation. Other programs to watch in pursuit of Umanmielen could be the Auburn Tigers, Florida Gators, and Oklahoma.
