A prospect that the Texas football program could really jump on early that is on the top True Buzz team this year is 2023 Mesquite Horn defensive back Jaden Milliner-Jones. True Buzz has a lot of rising talent for the 2022 and 2023 recruiting classes for a program like Texas to target.

Milliner-Jones just wrapped up his freshman year in high school, but he’s already garnering the hype of a four-star caliber prospect. The intangibles and physical tools are hard to find, along with the versatility that he already brings to the table as a rising sophomore in high school.

According to his Maxpreps profile, Milliner-Jones stands at 5-foot-11 and 170 pounds and played varsity at Mesquite Horn throughout his freshman season. He racked up 51 total tackles, two pass deflections, and one quarterback pressure. He also forced one fumble playing at outside linebacker during his 2019 season.

Milliner-Jones has a lot of raw talent that could be tapped into by a program like the Longhorns. He might turn into a safety when he starts to fill out his frame as his high school football career progresses. But this offseason is a good opportunity for the Longhorns to get a look at a possible future prospect worth offering.
