2. Indianapolis Colts

Unlike the Broncos, the Indianapolis Colts have an interesting mix of veterans and promising young skill position players on the roster as of April 6. The direction of the Colts franchise was drastically altered two years ago, when quarterback Andrew Luck up and retired due to frequent injuries that really wore down his body.

But the Colts found what looks to be a new short-term solution at quarterback, with the former San Diego/Los Angeles Chargers veteran signal caller Philip Rivers. While this might be the final year for Rivers in his NFL career, the NC State Wolfpack product should take the Colts to new heights this season.

Adding another solid piece to the receiving corps like the former Longhorn Johnson could be a great move for Chris Ballard. The Colts do have star wideout T.Y. Hilton and the former Ohio State Buckeye second-year standout Parris Campbell to highlight this position group. The Colts could still use an upgrade over other wide receivers like Zach Pascal and Daurice Fountain.

Neither Campbell nor Hilton fills the role in the receiving corps that Johnson would. Campbell stands at 6-foot and Hilton at 5-foot-10. Johnson is at least six inches taller than the Colts other two primary receivers.

The running back room could use a bolstering of depth in the 2020 draft, but so could the receiving corps. This is a good fit for Johnson since he would get to learn under some true standout veterans like Hilton and Rivers.
