1. Jacksonville Jaguars

It was not all that long ago that the Jacksonville Jaguars were one of the most appealing young and talented teams in the AFC. They looked to be the team on the rise in the AFC South that challenged the Indianapolis Colts and Houston Texans as the best team in the division. The Jaguars also made it all the way to the AFC Championship Game before falling short to the New England Patriots back during the 2017 season.

However, the Jaguars have amassed a combined record of 11-21 over the course of the last two seasons. That was good to slot them as the last team in the AFC South division standings both seasons. But head coach Doug Marrone is still the Jaguars lead guy and will be hoping to bounce back in a deep AFC South this coming season.

The Jaguars did do pretty well to limit the overall number of passing yards and touchdowns they allowed last season, ranking in the top 16 in the NFL in both stat categories. But they didn’t do well at all to draw turnovers (25th in the NFL in interceptions with 10) and ranked 23rd in the league in net passing yards allowed per attempt (6.7).

Jones would be competing with the likes of Doug Middleton and Andrew Wingard at the safety position, in terms of the players on the roster at the moment. The Jaguars are one of the teams most likely to shore up the depth behind their starters in the 2020 NFL Draft of all 32. They need to provide support behind Jarrod Wilson and Ronnie Harrison.
