2. Green Bay Packers

A potential landing spot for a number of wide receivers that are likely to get signed as undrafted free agent agents and find success down the road is with the Green Bay Packers. The Packers are notorious for developing wide receiver talent, especially those that can play in the slot and are quicker in smaller spaces.

There is something to work with in this Packers receiving corps at the moment. Davante Adams is quite clearly the go-to target in the passing game for future Hall-of-Fame quarterback Aaron Rodgers. But there could be an open competition for other members of this receiving corps to make headway and get more targets this coming season.

In the last 12 years, the Packers have taken on and developed a couple underrated former Big 12 wide receivers. Kansas State Wildcats wide receiver and former Packer Jordy Nelson is the first name that comes to mind in this regard. Former Iowa State Cyclones sizable wideout/tight end Allen Lazard is the name that sticks out on the current roster.

It looks to be a pretty open competition for roster spots about five or six deep on the depth chart this offseason in Green Bay. While he wouldn’t have a clear path to make the roster, Green Bay could be one of the more advantageous landing spots for Burt if they do somehow take a flier out on him in the final rounds of the 2020 NFL Draft, or nab him as an undrafted free agent.
