As far as dual-threat quarterbacks go for the 2022 recruiting cycle, the Longhorns won’t find much better than the four-star Carollton product Myles “MJ” Morris. This 6-foot-1 and 175 pound Georgia native has some impressive film and is already garnering hype as a quarterback with star potential at the college level.

Morris picked up a load of offers since late March including the likes of the defending National Champion LSU Tigers, Nebraska Cornhuskers, Miami Hurricanes, NC State Wolfpack, and Arkansas Razorbacks. He holds 28 schools on his offer sheet in total already. The other highlights of his offer sheet includes the Alabama Crimson Tide, Auburn Tigers, Georgia Bulldogs, Florida State Seminoles, Michigan Wolverines, Oregon Ducks, Penn State Nittany Lions, Tennessee Volunteers, and Texas A&M Aggies.

The Longhorns actually have not sent an offer Morris’ way, but this would be a wise one to send out. Morris ranks as the nation’s No. 41 2022 high school prospect, No. 2 dual-threat quarterback, and No. 5 prospect out of Georgia (Top247). Texas would be wise to offer this elusive and strong-armed dual-threat signal caller.

The only dual-threat quarterback prospect that the Longhorns have offered thus far ranks third at his position in the nation, four-star Westview product Ty Simpson. And there is only one dual-threat quarterback that ranks ahead of Morris, fellow Georgia native and Rabun County product Gunner Stockton.
