This very skilled and under-the-radar three-star Cherry Creek 6-foot-4 and 245 pound strong-side defensive end Arden Walker is one that should be getting more attention from Power Five programs that he currently is. Most of the schools on Walker’s offer sheet as of the afternoon of May 30 are the bigger programs from the Group of Five conferences.

Although, Walker is seeing a lot more scholarship offers pouring in of late. He just received his offer from the Longhorns back on April 19, 2020. The highlights of the other schools on Walker’s offer sheet are the Boise State Broncos, Colorado Buffaloes, Iowa Hawkeyes, Texas Tech Red Raiders, Michigan Wolverines, Iowa State Cyclones, Kansas Jayhawks, Michigan State Spartans, Mizzou Tigers, UCLA Bruins, and Wisconsin Badgers.

Walker ranks as the nation’s No. 730 2021 high school prospect, No. 49 strong-side defensive end, and No. 7 prospect out of Colorado (247Sports Composite). The 247Sports recruiting ranking holds Walker in a bit of a higher regard as the No. 4 2021 prospect out of Colorado.

All in all, defensive end and edge rusher aren’t huge positions of need for the Longhorns in the 2021 recruiting class. But adding depth in two very important areas under the direction of recently hired defensive coordinator Chris Ash means that landing a commitment from Walker would make an impact likely at least over a two or three year span that is worth prioritizing on the trail now.
