Once again, the importance of recruiting well in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex strikes for Herman and the Longhorns. But they’ve recruited the Metroplex pretty well since about the 2019 signing class. Things are finally improving for the Longhorns in the battles with the Oklahoma schools and in-state rival Texas A&M Aggies in recruiting the northern part of the state

Texas will need that momentum to spurn on here while they try to land the commitment of the 6-foot-1 and 175 pound Kimball High School product and Dallas, TX, native cornerback Ibraheem. This highly touted cornerback has the size and versatile skill set that Ash will be looking for at this position, which has made him such a prioritized target since this cycle came to the forefront.

Ibraheem ranks as the nation’s No. 171 2021 high school prospect, No. 13 cornerback, and No. 28 prospect out of Texas (247Sports Composite). That slots Ibraheem right above Coffey in the prospect rankings in the state of Texas for this cycle.

Moreover, Ibraheem holds offers from nearly three-dozen schools. Among those are the Sooners, Georgia Bulldogs, TCU Horned Frogs, LSU, Alabama Crimson Tide, Michigan, Nebraska Cornhuskers, Notre Dame, Texas A&M, and the USC Trojans.

The 247Sports Crystal Ball Predictions, like they do for Coffey, give the heavy edge to the Longhorns to land the commitment of Ibraheem over the rest of the field. The Rivals FutureCast also has all of their analysts and publishers that predicted Ibraheem’s decision going with Texas.

It appears that Texas is in a good position to land both of these talented defensive backs. This could help change the picture of the 2021 recruiting class for the Longhorns, and they need to hit on these two four-star prospects.
