Texas Football: 3 best remaining 2021 Longhorns WR targets
The most common name that is going to be tossed around in discussion moving forward for the Longhorns to target at the wide receiver position is four-star Royse City 6-foot-2 and 185 pound in-state product Ketron Jackson. A target of a number of other SEC and Big 12 programs, Jackson should be one of the biggest focal points of Herman and his coaching staff from here on out.
Jackson holds offers from nearly two-dozen schools, including a lot of the usual suspects. The highlights of the schools of his offer sheet includes the Arkansas Razorbacks, Colorado Buffaloes, TCU Horned Frogs, Alabama, Auburn Tigers, Baylor Bears, LSU, Nebraska Cornhuskers, Ohio State Buckeyes, Texas, Texas A&M, Penn State, and Texas Tech Red Raiders.
Ranking as the nation’s No. 149 2021 high school prospect, No. 26 wide receiver, and No. 25 prospect out of Texas (247Sports Composite), Jackson is a top tier target at this point in time for the Longhorns. But the 247Sports Crystal Ball Predictions are giving the edge to TCU and Arkansas at the moment to land the commitment of Jackson.
Jackson has the type of potential to be a primary or secondary target in the passing game. He has about the highest ceiling among all the uncommitted wide receivers that Texas has already offered. This would be huge for the Longhorns to get back at the forefront of the recruitment of Jackson at some point soon.
