2) 2021 prospects for Texas football to try and flip: Jack Bech

The most recent unheralded wide receiver prospect that the Longhorns sent out a scholarship offer to is the three-star 6-foot-2 and 215 pound St. Thomas More product Jack Bech. Texas offered Bech earlier this week. And he’s starting to pick up a lot of attention of late from competing programs.

Bech originally gave his commitment to head coach Derek Mason and the Vanderbilt Commodores out of the SEC East, back on March 21, 2020. Since committing to Vanderbilt back in spring, Bech has received five scholarship offers. Those offers came from the Arizona Wildcats, Texas LSU, TCU Horned Frogs, and Mississippi State Bulldogs.

Moreover, Bech is now up over two dozen schools on his growing offer sheet. Other highlighting schools on Bech’s offer sheet includes the Arkansas State Red Wolves, Boston College Eagles, Houston Cougars, Louisiana Ragin Cajuns, Louisiana Tech Bulldogs, Rice Owls, and Tulane Green Wave. A good portion of the offers that Bech received came from FCS (specifically Ivy League) programs.

Bech ranks as the nation’s No. 478 2021 high school prospect, No. 72 wide receiver, and No. 14 prospect out of Louisiana (247Sports Composite). This under-the-radar product coming out of Lafeyette, LA, is certainly a prospect to watch as an emerging target for Herman and the Longhorns from here on out.
