1) 2021 prospects for Texas football to try and flip: Chase Jackson

Yet another emerging wide receiver target of the Longhorns that fairly recently received their Texas scholarship offer after committing elsewhere is the three-star 6-foot-2 and 170 pound elusive Choctaw wideout Chase Jackson. This pretty severely underrated wide receiver product hailing out of Choctaw, OK, still has less than 10 schools on his offer sheet.

Texas was actually the last school to send Jackson a scholarship offer, back on Aug. 16, 2020. That came a few months after Jackson gave his commitment to head coach Gary Patterson and the Horned Frogs, on May 3, 2020. Texas is the only school to offer Jackson since he committed to TCU.

The other highlighting schools on Jackson’s offer sheet includes the Indiana Hoosiers, Minnesota Golden Gophers, New Mexico Lobos, Western Michigan Broncos, and Texas State Bobcats.

Jackson was really solid for Choctaw last year, registering 56 catches for nearly 1,400 receiving yards, and 15 touchdown catches. He’s a versatile skill position threat that could be a nice fit for Herman and first-year offensive coordinator Mike Yurcich.

Moreover, Jackson ranks as the nation’s No. 694 2021 high school prospect, No. 107 wide receiver, and No. 12 prospect out of Oklahoma (247Sports Composite). And the Top247 ranks him as the No. 57 wide receiver and No. 9 prospect out of Oklahoma.
