2) Rising 2021 Texas football targets

A wide receiver target that was on the board for the Longhorns and their 2021 recruiting class for a little bit longer than Sorrell has is the three-star 5-foot-10 and 175 pound Rudder High School product Keithron Lee. This largely underrated and undersized, but very agile, wideout product hailing out of Bryan, TX, received his Texas scholarship offer back on Nov. 11.

While Lee received his Texas offer more recently than Sorrell, the traction was there bit a little bit longer with him too. He had traction with the Texas coaching staff it looked like prior to receiving his offer last week.

Texas could use some help at the wide receiver position in their 2021 class. Depending both on if they land a commitment from sizable four-star Kosciusko 6-foot-4 wide receiver target Antonio Harmon, and what position they want to play him at (he could also fill a DeMarvion Overshown type of role), they could need another commit at the position in the 2021 class.

Lee received five offers since the start of the month of November alone. He’s now got just over two dozen schools on his ever growing offer sheet. The other highlighting schools on his offer sheet includes the Ole Miss Rebels, Texas Tech Red Raiders, Tennessee Volunteers, SMU Mustangs, TCU Horned Frogs, Utah Utes, Pitt Panthers, Washington Huskies, East Carolina Pirates, and Wyoming Cowboys.

A former commit of the UTSA Roadrunners, Lee opened up his recruitment Sep. 15, 2020. A number of offers coming from Power Five schools likely caused Lee to reconsider some of his options.

Moreover, Lee ranks as the nation’s No. 1,003 2021 high school prospect, No. 150 wide receiver, and No. 141 prospect out of Texas (247Sports Composite). The Top247 ranks him as the No. 98 wide receiver and No. 97 prospect out of Texas.
