There is just too much talent and proven experience that Ingram brings to the table from his bits and of three years playing for Texas to have him land at a sub par FBS or even an FCS destination. A lot of the potential landing spots he might look to were programs that offered him coming out of high school, back during the 2018 recruiting cycle.

Coming out of the Carthage High School football program in Carthage, TX, Ingram was a highly coveted blue chip recruit. He ranked as the nation’s No. 164 2018 high school prospect, No. 6 running back, and No. 15 prospect out of Texas (247Sports Composite). And the Top247 ranked him as the nation’s No. 198 high school prospect, No. 7 running back, and No. 22 prospect out of Texas.

One of the programs that got onto the pursuit of Ingram early on during his recruitment was the Texas A&M Aggies. Former Texas A&M head coach Kevin Sumlin was the one who got on Ingram for the most part during his recruitment. But current Aggies head coach Jimbo Fisher has taken that program to new levels.

As much as it would irk Longhorns fans to see Ingram bolt to their Lone Star Showdown rival Texas A&M, it does make some sense for the junior running back. Texas A&M has frequently taken on transfer running backs in the past, so landing Ingram wouldn’t be a move new to the program. He could be one of the more experienced and proven running backs for the Aggies, if he landed there, alongside current sophomore starter Isaiah Spiller.
