1) Predicting Texas football commits ahead of ESP

If the Longhorns want to add depth at the wide receiver position in their 2021 class, there are two options that Herman and wide receivers coach Andre Coleman appear to be down to at this point. One that seems like he is starting to get away from the Longhorns of late is the sizable 6-foot-4 and 205 pound Kosciusko wide receiver Antonio Harmon.

The other that actually made this list is the undersized, but agile, 5-foot-10 and 175 pound Rudder wideout Keithron Lee. At the moment, the Texas doesn’t have a single blue chip commit at the wide receiver position in their 2021 class. But they do hold wideout commits from the likes of three-stars Casey Cain and Jaden Alexis.

Lee would at least provide Texas with a nice rounding out to a trio of unheralded 2021 wide receiver commits. He is a former commit of the UTSA Roadrunners. Lee opened his recruitment back up on Sep. 15, 2020. Since then, a flood of Power Five offers started to rush in for Lee. One of those scholarship offers did come from Texas, on Nov. 11.

The other highlighting schools on Lee’s offer sheet includes the Ole Miss Rebels, SMU Mustangs, TCU Horned Frogs, Tennessee, Texas Tech Red Raiders, Baylor, Utah Utes, Pitt Panthers, and Washington Huskies.

The 247Sports Crystal Ball Predictions do appear to give some favor to Texas to land Lee’s commitment. But we don’t have a whole lot of clarity on his leanings at this point.

Moreover, Lee ranks as the nation’s No. 537 2021 high school prospect, No. 86 wide receiver, and No. 75 prospect out of Texas (247Sports Composite). And the Top247 ranks him as the No. 97 wide receiver and No. 98 prospect out of Texas.
