There appears to be a new wide receiver target in line for the 2021 Texas football recruiting class with recent offer an 3-Star Dorian Singer.

It appears that the next target up for the 2021 Texas football recruiting class at a skill position is already found for fourth-year head coach Tom Herman and first-year wide receivers coach Andre Coleman. Texas looks to be zoning in on a versatile three-star Arizona native and Pinnacle safety/wide receiver Dorian Singer.

It was not long ago at all that Singer received his official Texas scholarship offer. He made the announcement that he received his Texas offer on his Twitter timeline on the night of Dec. 21. That seemed like a good early Christmas present for Singer.

Herman and the Longhorns look to now be digging very deep to find answers likely at the wide receiver position. Since it is Coleman and Herman recruiting Singer, it would appear that they would want him to play at wide receiver if he were to land on the Forty Acres when it’s all said and done for his recruitment.

Singer does now have an offer sheet that spans 16 schools, including the Longhorns. The other highlighting schools on his offer sheet are the Air Force Falcons, Eastern Michigan Eagles, Iowa State Cyclones, Ohio Bobcats, Utah Utes, and FCS North Dakota State Bison. In fact, Iowa State Utah, and Texas are his only Power Five offers at this point in time. And most of the schools on his offer sheet hail from the FCS ranks.

The good news for the Longhorns in their pursuit of Singer now is that they do look to be trending to land his commitment right now. The 247Sports Crystal Ball Predictions have all of their experts picking Singer to give his pledge to Texas over the rest of the field.

What Texas would be getting out of this 6-foot and 175 pound defensive back/wide receiver product hailing out of Phoenix, AZ, is the nation’s No. 1,473 2021 high school prospect, No. 203 wide receiver, and No. 21 prospect out of Arizona (247Sports Composite). And the Top247 ranks him as the No. 192 wide receiver and No. 20 prospect out of Arizona.

According to the 247Sports Team Composite Rankings, the 2021 Texas recruiting class currently sits at No. 17 in the nation and remains in the second spot in the Big 12 behind the Oklahoma Sooners. Texas currently holds 18 commits/signees in their 2021 class, with their highest rated being the elite five-star Denton-Ryan athlete Ja’Tavion Sanders.

Next. 3 things Tom Herman would love for Christmas. dark

Texas also has two wide receiver commits currently signed down in the 2021 class. Those two high school wide receivers are three-star Warren Easton product Casey Cain and three-star Monarch product Jaden Alexis.
