1) Texas football freshmen who could breakout in Alamo Bowl

The good news for the Longhorns in the Alamo Bowl is that the offensive line could see some new faces step up in a national spotlight and help build out this group for next season. The bad news is that three starters will be missing in the trenches, and the likes of star senior quarterback Sam Ehlinger and freshman running back Bijan Robinson could suffer because of it.

Texas could see the likes of true freshman offensive tackle and former highly touted four-star recruit Andrej Karic, freshman offensive guard Logan Parr, and freshman center/guard Jake Majors all get significant snaps this week. But the two true freshmen for the Longhorns that look like they will get the start in the trenches will be Karic and Majors.

During the regular season, Karic got playing time in two different games for the Longhorns. He got to play in just under 50 snaps so far, and was decent in the process. Karic got all of his snaps at left tackle in two games during the regular season, and didn’t allow a single pressure, hit, or have a single penalty called against him.
