2) Predicting next 2023 Texas football commit

There’s a ton of potential for second-year wide receivers coach Andre Coleman and Sark to put together a special run with their wideouts in the 2022 and 2023 classes. Texas has already landed commitments from the likes of the elite four-star Frisco-Liberty wide receiver Evan Stewart and four-star Lewisville wideout Armani Winfield in the 2022 class.

Two early potential targets to fill out the receiving corps for Sark and the Longhorns in their 2023 class are the Austin native Greathouse and the 6-foot-3 and 175 pound Longview product Jalen Hale. Greathouse is versatile enough to either play at tight end or as a bigger possession receiver, but Hale would be a true wideout.

Hale is starting to pick up a lot more momentum on the recruiting trail of late. And if and when he’s ready to announce an early commitment decision, the Longhorns could very well be one of the programs in the mix to land him.

Texas is one of nearly 20 schools to have already sent Hale a scholarship offer. They were also one of the first six schools to offer him, which came back on Dec. 22, 2020. The offer from Texas to Hale is still fairly new, but one that could be impactful moving forward.

The other highlighting schools on Hale’s offer sheet includes the Georgia Bulldogs, Miami Hurricanes, Auburn Tigers, LSU Tigers, Ohio State Buckeyes, Oklahoma, Mississippi State Bulldogs, South Carolina Gamecocks, TCU Horned Frogs, Texas A&M, and Texas Tech Red Raiders.

And Hale ranks as the nation’s No. 60 2023 high school prospect, No. 7 wide receiver, and No. 6 prospect out of Texas (Top247). He could be a high octane start for the Longhorns in the 2023 class at the wide receiver position.
