3) Next 2022 Texas football commit after Bryan Allen Jr.

A favorite pick of mine as to who could be the Longhorns next commit in the 2022 recruiting class, the ultra highly coveted four-star 6-foot and 190 pound West Brook safety Bryce Anderson could very well be it. Anderson is a player that has been trending pretty firmly in the Longhorns direction for nearly a month now.

What landing a commitment from Anderson would mean for the Longhorns is establishing the safety position in the 2022 class, and really solidifying the defensive backfield as a whole. Getting Allen Jr. and Anderson both would give the Longhorns established top 100 ranked high school prospects in the nation at the safety position.

At this point in time, the Longhorns hold the edge in the eyes of the 247Sports Crystal Ball Predictions to land the commitment of Anderson over the rest of the competition. All but one of the expert Crystal Ball Predictions favor Texas to land Anderson.

Texas is one of a whopping 40 schools to send a scholarship offer to Anderson. The other highlighting schools on his offer sheet includes the Texas A&M Aggies, LSU Tigers, Alabama Crimson Tide, Auburn Tigers, Florida Gators, Georgia Bulldogs, Michigan Wolverines, Notre Dame Fighting Irish, Ohio State Buckeyes, Oklahoma, Oregon Ducks, Stanford Cardinal, Tennessee Volunteers, and USC Trojans.

Moreover, Anderson ranks as the nation’s No. 61 2022 high school prospect, No. 4 safety, and No. 11 prospect out of Texas (247Sports Composite). And the Top247 ranks him as the nation’s No. 57 high school prospect, No. 5 safety, and No. 12 prospect out of Texas.
