3) Early elite 2023 Texas football recruits

What better way for Sark and new defensive coordinator Pete Kwiatkowski to establish a truly well rounded and elite foundation for their 2023 recruiting class than by adding a blue chip commit on the defensive side of the ball after landing the commitment from Owens last month. Texas could really use the continued boost in the secondary, an area they’ve recruited well the past few cycles.

Texas has already sent out scholarship offers to four safeties for the 2023 recruiting cycle. And none of them hail out of the state of Texas. In fact, each of the four safeties that the Longhorns have offered thus far are from different states.

And the one that should stick out above the rest of the safeties that the Longhorns have offered for their 2023 class at this point in time is the rising elite five-star 6-foot and 195 pound Imhotep Institute product Rahmir Stewart. Texas got on the recruitment of Stewart pretty early, which can hopefully solidify their standing in his eyes among his front runner schools in the near future.

It was nearly one year ago that the Longhorns originally sent an offer to Stewart. They are one of more than 30 schools now on his already impressive offer sheet. The other highlighting schools that have also offered him includes the Alabama Crimson Tide, Auburn Tigers, Florida Gators, Georgia Bulldogs, LSU Tigers, Michigan Wolverines, Notre Dame Fighting Irish, Nebraska Cornhuskers, Oklahoma Sooners, Tennessee Volunteers, Texas A&M Aggies, and USC Trojans.

Moreover, the Top247 ranks Stewart as the nation’s No. 11 2023 high school prospect, the top overall safety and prospect out of Pennsylvania. This is a special talent hailing out of Philadelphia, PA, and this would be a new territory for Sark to hit the recruiting trail hard around the country.
