Texas Football: 3 underrated 2022 prospects Sark should try to flip
Underrated 2022 targets for Sark to flip No. 3: Jordan Crook
A good place to start on a list like this is with an in-state prospect that already had some interest for Texas at one point. This unheralded three-star Duncanville 6-foot and 225 pound inside linebacker Jordan Crook already gave his commitment to head coach Mike Gundy and the Oklahoma State Cowboys.
But that commitment from Crook to the Pokes came pretty recently, back on March 9. Crook helped continue to propel this 2022 Oklahoma State recruiting class among the top in the Big 12, and among the top 25 in the nation for this cycle.
Oklahoma State is likely going to come back down to earth at some point, but it might not happen anytime soon. If Sark and the Longhorns want to play a roll in pushing one of the Oklahoma schools further back down the Big 12 class rankings, then sending an offer Crook’s way could be a way to do so.
But beyond just getting further ahead of a Big 12 foe in the recruiting rankings, Crook could add some value to the front seven in Texas’ 2022 class alongside three-star Arlington-Martin linebacker commit Trevell Johnson.
Crook currently holds offers from more than 25 schools. Some of the more notable schools on his offer sheet includes the Baylor Bears, Memphis Tigers, Arkansas Razorbacks, Indiana Hoosiers, Kansas State Wildcats, Michigan Wolverines, Mizzou Tigers, Nebraska Cornhuskers, SMU Mustangs, USC Trojans, and Washington Huskies.
Moreover, Crooks ranks as the nation’s No. 446 2022 high school prospect, No. 14 inside linebacker, and No. 62 prospect out of Texas (247Sports Composite). And the Top247 ranks him as the No. 15 inside linebacker and No. 52 prospect out of Texas.
