Oregon State

Hepa is a Portland, OR, native which makes him a good candidate to land back in PAC-12 country out of the transfer portal this offseason. Another good spot to look when considering where a transfer will take his talents to next is the schools that offered him when he was coming out of high school.

And both of the major Oregon schools wound up sending scholarship offers Hepa’s way. That makes the reigning PAC-12 Tournament crown holder Oregon State Beavers a really ideal landing spot for Hepa if the fit is still right in his mind. Oregon State is coming off a really good postseason run where they were one of the hottest teams in the country.

It took the two-seed Houston Cougars downing the Beavs in the Elite 8 to finally knock out the PAC-12 Champions. On the way, Oregon State took down the four-seed Oklahoma State Cowboys, five-seed Tennessee Volunteers and former Texas head coach Rick Barnes, and the eight-seed Loyola-Chicago Ramblers and new Oklahoma Sooners head coach Porter Moser, on their way to the Elite 8.

Oregon State is still a building team that will be looking to capitalize off the momentum they built in the season that was. Hepa could be a nice addition to a frontcourt rotation that already possesses a lot of size and experience. What Oregon State doesn’t have for the most part in their frontcourt rotation right now is (outside of former Oklahoma State transfer Maurice Calloo) is the ability to space the floor. That’s where the addition of Hepa could really help them out.
