Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Another potential NFC South landing spot in the draft for Ehlinger could be with the defending Super Bowl Champion Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the legendary future Hall-of-Fame quarterback Tom Brady. Although the Bucs and Falcons would mean different development paths for Ehlinger at the next level, each would be very beneficial in their own right.

There were multiple mock drafts that had the Buccaneers adding depth to their quarterback room by way of selecting Ehlinger in the middle rounds. And that very well could come to fruition with the Bucs looking to have a solid future in line once the playing days for Brady in the NFL are all said and done.

Ehlinger would give the Bucs a different dynamic to this offense, though. Clearly, Brady is the opposite of a dual-threat quarterback, so getting this type of presence behind center would be big in Tampa. If the Bucs and head coach Bruce Arians want to bring maybe another type of offensive package they could run, or a good insurance policy behind Brady, then drafting Ehlinger makes a lot of sense.

The supporting cast around Ehlinger in Tampa Bay would be of the top caliber. He would have a really good receiving corps led by the likes of Mike Evans and Chris Godwin, a good running back behind Ronald Jones and Leonard Fournette, and good tight ends in Rob Gronkowski and O.J. Howard.

The Bucs also don’t have a real legitimate backup quarterback at the moment, with former Tulane Green Wave signal caller Ryan Griffin all that lies behind Brady on the roster at the moment.
