One particular target of Sark and the Longhorns 2023 class that has really come to the forefront of late is the elite five-star Longview 6-foot-2 and 175 pound wide receiver Jalen Hale. A prospect that Sark and second-year wide receivers coach Andre Coleman have really prioritized of late could be something that pays off in the form of a commitemtn before too long.

But the Longhorns are obviously going to face some very stiff competition in the pursuit of Hale’s commitment. They are already falling behind the eight ball if you look at some of the expert leading indicators for where Hale’s pledge is projected to go to.

The sole expert 247Sports Crystal Ball Prediction in for Hale has him giving his commitment to Oklahoma over Texas and the rest of the field. And the Rivals FutureCast has all of their analysts and publishers picking Hale to land with Oklahoma.

Texas might not be all that far behind head coach Lincoln Riley and the Sooners, though, The Longhorns were one of the initial schools on Hale’s offer sheet, sending him a scholarship offer back on Dec. 22, 2020. That should mean a good bit when it comes down to it.

Oklahoma and Texas are two of nearly 30 schools on Hale’s lengthy offer sheet (just like Hill). Some of the other notable schools on his offer sheet are Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Georgia, LSU, Miami, the Notre Dame Fighting Irish, Ohio State, Oregon Ducks, Penn State Nittany Lions, Texas A&M, and USC.

Moreover, Hale ranks as the nation’s No. 12 2023 high school prospect, No. 2 wide receiver, and No. 2 prospect out of Texas (247Sports Composite). And the Top247 ranks him as the nation’s No. 24 high school prospect, No. 2 wide receiver, and No. 2 prospect out of Texas.
