Denver Harris, CB

About the most high-profile cornerback prospect that the Longhorns could realistically land in their 2022 class is the elite five-star 6-foot-1 and 180 pound North Shore product Denver Harris. This Houston-area native would be the perfect commit to center the defensive backfield around in the Longhorns 2022 class.

Harris is also about the most highly touted cornerback prospect that the Longhorns had a realistic shot at getting a commitment from since the eventual Georgia Bulldogs pledge Kelee Ringo was on their radar.

And the Longhorns have some good news in the race to land a commitment from Harris. Both of the expert 247Sports Crystal Ball Predictions have Harris giving his pledge to Texas over the rest of the field.

And the Rivals FutureCast has most of their analysts and publishers picking the commitment of Harris to land with the Longhorns when it’s all said and done.

Texas is now one of four schools that has an official visit scheduled with Harris for the summer. Their official visit with Harris is set for June 18. Texas will be the second school he visits this summer (going by his schedule as of May 14) behind Texas A&M, which he will be going to on June 4.

The other two schools that Harris is set to visit this summer as it stands now are Alabama (June 25) and LSU (June 18).

Texas, Alabama, LSU, and Texas A&M are four of nearly 40 schools on Harris’ lengthy offer sheet. Some of the other notable schools on his offer sheet are the Arkansas Razorbacks, Auburn Tigers, Clemson Tigers, Florida, Georgia, Michigan Wolverines, Notre Dame Fighting Irish, Ohio State Buckeyes, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Oregon, Penn State Nittany Lions, Tennessee, TCU, and USC.

Moreover, Harris ranks as the nation’s No. 6 2022 high school prospect, No. 3 cornerback, and No. 2 prospect out of Texas (247Sports Composite). And the Top247 ranks him as the nation’s No. 20 high school prospect, No. 3 cornerback, and No. 5 prospect out of Texas.
