What would be a rather polarizing potential transfer portal target at the quarterback position for the Longhorns this offseason is the former Oklahoma Sooners commit and Florida Atlantic Owls 6-foot-1 and 200 pound junior Chris Robison. This former highly touted four-star recruit was a big snag for head coach Lincoln Riley and the Sooners in their 2017 class.

Yet, it wasn’t all that long before Robison hit the transfer market and found his next landing spot with Kiffin and Florida Atlantic ahead of the start of the 2018 season. And he was very solid for the Owls in his two years playing with the program. But it was a reported dismissal from the team last year that caused Robison to enter the transfer portal yet again.

If whatever situation that caused Robison to get dismissed from the Florida Atlantic program is now cleared up, then it might be worth it for Texas to look into what he could bring to the table for them. Robison might be the most proven commodity among the quarterbacks currently available in the transfer portal at this point of the offseason.

During his two years playing for Florida Atlantic, Robison registered 6,241 passing yards, 40 passing touchdowns, 18 interceptions, a completion percentage north of 62, over 150 rushing yards, and five rushing scores. He really had a solid sophomore campaign, where he registered more than 3,700 passing yards, 28 passing touchdowns, and six interceptions.

If all is clear to pursue Robison in the portal, he could be a solid target for Sark and the Longhorns.
