Trey Alexander, SG

One of the last remaining top 100 prospects that are uncommitted among those in the 2021 recruiting cycle is the talented four-star Heritage Hall 6-foot-4 and 185-pound shooting guard Trey Alexander. This Oklahoma City, OK, product Alexander does look to be down to just a handful of schools at this point.

But the commitment of Alexander was delayed well beyond National Signing Day for the 2021 recruiting cycle. It might be worth Texas handing out an offer to Alexander to see where it goes. The problem is that neither the Longhorns nor the Red Raiders sent a scholarship offer Alexander’s way with Beard as their head coach.

Texas does need some help still over the long haul in their backcourt rotation. Finding a route to add that talent through the 2021 class could be a good way to go.

Alexander holds offers from more than a dozen schools as of May 24. Some of the notable schools on his offer sheet are the Auburn Tigers, Oklahoma Sooners, Texas A&M Aggies, Arkansas Razorbacks, Florida State Seminoles, Georgia Bulldogs, Kansas Jayhawks, Oklahoma State Cowboys, SMU Mustangs, and Wake Forest Demon Deacons.

Moreover, Alexander ranks as the nation’s No. 73 2021 high school prospect, No. 15 shooting guard, and the top overall prospect out of Oklahoma (247Sports Composite). And the Top247 ranks him as the nation’s No. 84 high school prospect, No. 17 shooting guard, and the top overall prospect out of Oklahoma.
