Among the more underrated prospects that the Longhorns are going after in their 2022 class is that set to have an official visit this coming weekend is the three-star Tenaha wide receiver/athlete Jeremy Patton. This 6-foot-1 and 200 pound Tenaha, TX, native has four official visits scheduled for this month. The first comes with Texas.

Texas will get their official visit with Patton this coming weekend, specifically on June 4. The other three official visits he has on the books at the moment are with the Oklahoma State Cowboys (June 9), Michigan (June 11), and Baylor Bears (June 18). Those four schools that Patton has visits lined up with at the moment look to be the frontrunners to get his commitment.

As a rather switchable athlete that can play on either side of the ball, Patton could be a very valuable get for the Longhorns 2022 class that brings a lot of multiplicity to the table for Sark. He would likely play at either the tight end or linebacker position with the Longhorns. That’s where he’s played the most snaps during his time at Tenaha up to this point.

The 247Sports Crystal Ball Predictions has two out of four experts projecting the commitment of Patton to land with Texas over Oklahoma State and Baylor. And the Rivals FutureCast has all of their analysts and publishers picking the commitment of Patton to also land with Texas.

Patton could be a candidate to watch to be the first commit in the Longhorns 2022 class early in official visit season this month.
