Texas Football: 3 new and notable transfer portal targets for Sark
Since Texas football and new head coach Steve Sarkisian missed out on the former Tulsa Golden Hurricane redshirt junior standout cornerback Akayleb Evans in the NCAA Transfer Portal earlier this month, it’s hard to tell what more movement will exist on the open market for this program. Texas also lost a key part of the receiving corps when junior wideout and former top four-star recruit Jake Smith put his name in the transfer portal this week.
There is still a long way to go now in the transfer portal this offseason for Sark and the Longhorns. Just when it seemed like everything was about to calm down in terms of movement in the transfer portal for Texas in the latter stages of the month of June, it really started to heat back up.
We’ve also seen some very appealing potential transfer portal targets emerge for Sark and the Longhorns this month. Since Texas looked like it was only going to add one more player out of the portal this offseason if they got a commitment from Evans, there could still be one addition left for this program.

If Texas is still willing to look in the transfer portal for help this summer, then at least there is plenty of depth to work with. Late in the month of June, which particular names are worth watching that are new and notable potential targets for the Longhorns.
