A prospect that is currently committed elsewhere that came to the forefront during the resumption of visit season last month for the Longhorns is the four-star Bishop Alemany (CA) athlete Larry Turner-Gooden. The 6-foot and 180-pound Calabassas, CA, native Turner-Gooden is currently committed to head coach Herm Edwards and the Arizona State Sun Devils in the PAC-12.

In fact, trying to flip current PAC-12 commits will be a common theme on this list.

But it could hold true that no other name on this list is more likely to flip to the Longhorns than Turner-Gooden. Texas found traction with him during visit season, and more news could come in soon on the matter of trying to flip his commitment heading into the fall.

Turner-Gooden committed to Arizona State back in late February. But he currently has two official visits on the books for the fall that are not with the Sun Devils. He is set for a Sep. 18 official visit with head coach James Franklin and the Penn State Nittany Lions. And roughly one month later, he’s scheduled for an official visit with Texas, specifically on Oct. 16.

It all rounds out with an official visit with Arizona State on Nov. 6.

Texas will have to be patient with this one as Turner-Gooden will likely draw out his recruitment until the fall. It might have to wait until just before the Early Signing Period to figure out where he will actually sign.

All in all, Texas sits in a pretty good position with Turner-Gooden at the moment. A clear top three or four schools have started to form for him, namely including the three he will be visiting officially in the fall.
