Devin Brown, QB

Multiple key Longhorns 2022 prospects are going to come down with decisions in the near future. That is just the nature of the volume of decisions around the beginning of the Early Signing Period. That will be the case again this year.

A key target of the Longhorns 2022 class that recently emerged that is definitely one to watch at this point is the four-star USC Trojans commit and Corner Canyon (UT) quarterback Devin Brown. Texas is clearly emerging in a top group of challengers if anyone is able to flip the commitment of Brown from USC.

Some of the other top schools to watch in the race to flip the commitment of Brown include the Ole Miss Rebels, Ohio State Buckeyes, and the Cal Golden Bears seem to remain. But I wouldn’t be surprised if this recruitment really boils down to three schools. Texas, Ohio State, and USC are likely to be the trio of schools that Brown decides between when it’s all said and done.

Texas seems to be adamant about trying to add Brown to the 2022 class. That would bring to west coast quarterbacks to the Longhorns 2022 signing class if they eventually flip Brown from USC. It would be quite the quarterback signee duo to get both Brown and four-star Junipero Serra product Maalik Murphy in the mix.
