3 commits that can help Texas land QB Quinn Ewers
All eyes remain on the battle between the Texas football program and the Texas Tech Red Raiders to see who can win the sweepstakes to land a commitment out of the NCAA Transfer Portal from the former Ohio State Buckeyes freshman quarterback Quinn Ewers. Texas is firmly in the midst of the race to land Ewers out of the transfer portal, and a decision could be coming from him soon.
With Ewers likely wanting to make a push to recruit some elite 2022 talent with him to whatever school he lands at next out of the transfer portal, it wouldn’t be surprising to see a decision come from him this week. And at this point, it looks like this is a two-horse race for Ewers between the Longhorns and the Red Raiders.
New head coach Steve Sarkisian has a lot on the line in the transfer portal this offseason. It’s hard to look forward to what’s ahead in the transfer portal this offseason, though, with so many headlines surrounding the Early Signing Period and early names in the portal such as Ewers.
Which current Texas football commits can help the push for 5-Star QB Quinn Ewers?
Really, the only news that matters to a lot (not everyone, though) of Texas fans is what happens with Ewers. It is fair to assume that a commitment from Ewers could do a great job of drawing other top talent to the Longhorns 2022 class, and some other talented underclassmen to the Forty Acres by way of the transfer portal.
But there are also some current Texas commits that could be inking their National Letter of Intent during the Early Signing Period that could help persuade Ewers to come to the Forty Acres. Here’s a look at three Longhorns commits that could help draw Ewers to Texas.
