Despite all of the excitement surrounding the addition of Ewers out of the transfer portal early in the offseason for the Longhorns, there is still some talk that Sark could take on another one. This largely hinges on any quarterback room attrition that could be looming for the rest of the offseason.

Texas could see someone like freshman quarterback Charles Wright, sophomore Hudson Card, and/or redshirt junior Casey Thompson enter the transfer portal this offseason if they want to seek playing time elsewhere.

I think it’s well known at this point that most Texas fans expect there to be at least one quarterback departure to the transfer portal sometime soon this offseason.

However, if Texas wants to add one more quarterback to the room this offseason, I believe the most realistic name to watch right now that is currently in the transfer portal is the former Incarnate Ward star, Cameron Ward. Last week, Ward became the biggest FCS transfer to watch in the portal.

You can see the impact that Ward had right away at the FCS level with Incarnate Ward by registering more than 4,600 passing yards, 47 passing touchdowns, 10 interceptions, a completion percentage north of 65, and one additional rushing score.

Ward is set to take a visit with head coach Lane Kiffin and the Ole Miss Rebels this week, which could be something to watch. He might not be around long enough in the transfer portal for the Longhorns to stick around with. But this is a name to watch for the Longhorns if they want to add one more quarterback out of the transfer portal along with Ewers this offseason.
